If you’ve been thinking about applying for global entry this year, you’ll need to wait a little longer. On Wednesday, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol decided to extend its suspension of enrollment into travel programs. The original suspension was set to end back on March 19, but it will now be through June 1.
The main reason for the extended suspension was to help protect agents from increased exposure to COVID-19. When travelers apply for these programs, they are required to come in for an in-person interview before their application is approved.
